Our Team
Dr. Mayrath is an expert in educational technology. He worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow under Dr. Chris Dede at Harvard University. He received a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and a Masters in Educational Technology Evaluation from the University of Texas at Austin. His research focuses on how innovative technologies can be used to enhance learning and assessment. He has carried out research for Harvard University, U.S. Air Force, Cisco Systems Inc., and the University of Texas at Austin. He is a founding partner of GetYa Learn On and works with the team to ensure that each E-Textbook, app, and game is pedagogically effective and designed using research from the fields of educational psychology, instructional technology, and measurement & evaluation. He has been part of numerous technology start-ups including TradeMark Media where he was Director of Sales and Marketing.

Priya Nihalani holds a Masters in Educational Technology Evaluation and is currently an A.B.D. doctoral student in Educational Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin. Her research interests and expertise lie in innovative instructional design through educational technology and high stakes measurement in the global educational community. She has held positions as a statistical, measurement, and evaluation specialist for the University of Texas at Austin, Cisco Learning Institute, and the U.S. Air Force. She is one of the founding partners of GetYa Learn On, serves as Primary Investigator for all research conducted by the company, and works with the team to ensure each educational tool is designed to be pedagogically effective based on interdisciplinary empirical research.

Matt Hayes went straight from studying Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech to working as a Software Engineer. He has worked on many different and varied projects ranging from computer vision applications, to U.S. military training simulations, to scientific computer modeling to video games. As a founding member of GetYa Learn On, he acts as both technical advisor and as the lead software architect, translating the team's vision into the final user experience.

John Gentle has a Bachelors of Science in Information Systems Security coupled with an extensive background in multimedia and design, including web, film and music production. His main focus is on the visual design and aesthetic of all GetYa Learn On applications and games. He has worked for or with the U.S. Army, the U.S. Air Force, the University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M University, The University of Southern California, The University of Oklahoma, ITT Technical Institute, Apple and numerous smaller companies in a multitude of capacities. He is one of the founding members of GetYa Learn On and works with the team to ensure that every application and game is a stimulating and innovative experience in interactivity.
